With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fan Rong Xiao saved The Vikings from getting behind. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Vikings's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Portugal's Faustino Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fan Rong Xiao in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fan Rong Xiao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gilmar Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to The Vikings getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mieszko Rostow hit a great ball. Portugal's Felipe Barreto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fan Rong Xiao but with some difficulty. 66 minutes into the game, Gilmar Furlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Vikings's Atay Akarsu was substituted for Konrad Witkowski. The Vikings's Hugon Jaworski was substituted for Woodrow Walls. Radoslaw Ranowiecki made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Atay Akarsu however managed to control. With a little luck, The Vikings's Fan Rong Xiao got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Fan Rong Xiao successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Fasoli in the 80th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there!
