The supporters of Netherlands booed when Bitelon FC - SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Günalp Taştan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Günalp Taştan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Durval Recife went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Günalp Taştan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, 叶凌宁 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 叶凌宁 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Joel Quadros put in a rough tackle. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Papaggelatos in the 57th minute of play. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Günalp Taştan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Durval Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bitelon FC - SAF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Bitelon FC - SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Recife to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Durval Recife in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Netherlands's Lars Meesters. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Günalp Taştan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Günalp Taştan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. Edmílson Rossi struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bitelon FC - SAF. After some careless play in the Bitelon FC - SAF defense, Lars Meesters kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Günalp Taştan. The Bitelon FC - SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Günalp Taştan should have stopped the shot.
