Mateo Medardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Medardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Wilmes's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Tiburcio Honrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Mateo Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Mateo Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Felipe Mino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Suibhne Ghee showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Tama's Suibhne Ghee got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tama's Mateo Medardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Medardo. Tama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 37thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tama's Mateo Medardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tama's goalkeeper Mateo Medardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Mino in the 39th minute of the match. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Felipe Mino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Mateo Medardo came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Felipe Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Mateo Medardo however easily saved by the left post. 59 minutes into the match, Tama's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Mateo Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Mateo Medardo threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 65 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mateo Medardo, 1-3. After having played for 74 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tama made a substitution. Simon Ferran replaced Suibhne Ghee. Tama made a substitution. Marco Santiago replaced Armin Pocobello. Tama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiburcio Honrio in the 79th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Simon Ferran got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-3. 79 minutes into the match. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Medardo having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Medardo. Tama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Eikelkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
