Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute of the match Sportivo Chupeño got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Antonio Pizzi in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Francis Stuart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Antonio Pizzi went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score.

After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Francis Stuart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Francis Stuart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute of the match Zacarias Abajas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Tino Abeijon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tino Abeijon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 87 minutes into the game, Chris Mergenthaler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Chupeño the free kick. The supporters of Sportivo Chupeño booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Hubbard kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Chupeño's Francis Stuart. But to his dismay, Francis Stuart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Sportivo Chupeño were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Germany for a fine match.
