Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Vinnie Backhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dave Joy fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Tigers's protests and gave Dave Joy a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes The Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Dave Joy. The supporters of Hungary booed when The Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Atherton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Noble in the 10th minute of play. Tim Johnstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Johnstone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Johnstone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kelvin Atherton hit a great ball. In the 38th minute The Tigers were awarded a corner. Mitch Furniss went to the cornerflag to take it. Mitch Furniss made a great header on The Tigers's corner, it was just that Hungary's Fodor Daniel managed to reach the ball for a save. 39 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Noble came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Major Barna in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Johnstone saved The Tigers from getting behind. Tim Johnstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a little luck, The Tigers's Tim Johnstone got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Sid Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Johnstone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Major Barna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tim Johnstone. The goal made the score 0-1. The Tigers's Tris Hedges was substituted for Sid Francis. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Noble in the 59th minute of play. Owen Noble scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Hungary's Hegedus Henrik to fire away a dangerous shot which Tim Johnstone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Hegedus Henrik notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of The Tigers's Tim Johnstone. Tim Johnstone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hegedus Henrik scored 1-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Johnstone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Tim Johnstone. The Tigers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Carl Downes's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Downes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, The Tigers's Carl Downes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Downes's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Hungary's Major Barna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tim Johnstone. Tim Johnstone yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tim Johnstone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The The Tigers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
