Konstanty Wawro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Konstanty Wawro. 26 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Sârban came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Konstanty Wawro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Cutri made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gianpaolo Mascari. Rega Merida CF's Konstanty Wawro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Eliseo Cutri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konstanty Wawro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaccheo Andolina to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Konstanty Wawro. Konstanty Wawro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 58 minutes into the match, Nistor Sârban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nistor Sârban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 60 minutes into the game, Ryan Gravenhorst threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Rega Merida CF's Ryan Gravenhorst got a free kick in the 60th minute. Rega Merida CF's Leonello Messias was substituted for Cemal Palabıyık. In the 74th minute Yaroslav Svitlychnyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Sârban might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nistor Sârban ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Sârban, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Rega Merida CF's Konstanty Wawro got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. In the 83rd minute of the match Italy got a corner. Rega Merida CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Konstanty Wawro came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Siricio Liotta. But to his dismay, Siricio Liotta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. 95 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Konstanty Wawro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Curto. The Rega Merida CF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Italy's performance. The match ended with a win for Italy.
