The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Tolino got free with Fodor Daniel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudio-Paul Caniggia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pucho's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Józef Mlynarczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
