When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Aprígio Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aprígio Montenegro. Aprígio Montenegro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The supporters of Netherlands booed when CheR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Clifford didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 79th minute of play forced CheR FC's goalkeeper Aprígio Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, CheR FC's goalkeeper Aprígio Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. CheR FC's Aprígio Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 86th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aprígio Montenegro having to interfere. Lars Meesters hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Many of Netherlands's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Netherlands may have spent more time on the ball, but CheR FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
