Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boğaç Altuncuoğlu in the 9th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birdal Nuratay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürhan Tüzeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Birdal Nuratay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. Birdal Nuratay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of play. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Birdal Nuratay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SARAY A.Ş's Birdal Nuratay. Birdal Nuratay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Birdal Nuratay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes SARAY A.Ş's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SARAY A.Ş's Birdal Nuratay did a great save. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Birdal Nuratay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, SARAY A.Ş's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Birdal Nuratay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. 48 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Gürhan Tüzeman came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The SARAY A.Ş players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boğaç Altuncuoğlu to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SARAY A.Ş's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birdal Nuratay came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute of the game, David Eikelkamp landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 57 minutes into the game, Boğaç Altuncuoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SARAY A.Ş's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Netherlands made a substitution. Sijmen Clous replaced David Eikelkamp. After a rather tough play, SARAY A.Ş's Boğaç Altuncuoğlu got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birdal Nuratay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Birdal Nuratay made a huge save. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boğaç Altuncuoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birdal Nuratay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, SARAY A.Ş's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Birdal Nuratay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Birdal Nuratay was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Birdal Nuratay to make any attempt to save it. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SARAY A.Ş's goalie prevented a goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Furtado in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birdal Nuratay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Birdal Nuratay in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SARAY A.Ş throughout the match.
