Bernhardt Reshauge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Birmes in the 19th minute of the match. Oliverio Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xie Cheng Xiao, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Uwe Birmes came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Birmes couldn't finish the play. Germany's Sulo Montaña was substituted for Uwe Birmes. In the 48th match minute, Fc Schönhagen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Wauters to maneuver through the defense. Fc Schönhagen's Bernhardt Reshauge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Juniel in the 49th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ture Juniel made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Juniel in the 53rd minute of play forced Fc Schönhagen's goalkeeper Bernhardt Reshauge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Schönhagen's Xie Cheng Xiao got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Loris Groß succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Germany's Róbert Štriker was substituted for Ture Juniel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loris Groß in the 64th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Oliverio Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliverio Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xie Cheng Xiao's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Fc Schönhagen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Germany's performance. The match ended with a win for Germany.
