The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodosio Ugaitz during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teodosio Ugaitz hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of play forced Karamázov's goalkeeper Iuri Law to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iuri Law made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 34th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Ege Nesefi came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

With a little luck, Karamázov's Iuri Law got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iuri Law saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Netherlands were furious when Bas Tuitert was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Netherlands fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Iuri Law made a huge save. After 90 played minutes Karamázov got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Ugaitz. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Cordeara in the 93rd minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
