Arnout Scheerens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Playo in the 34th minute of play. When Frank Sachs fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Frank Sachs a yellow card for diving instead. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnout Scheerens in the 61st minute of the match. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Playo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Arnout Scheerens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The EL CERVECERO F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
