Hélio Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélio Arósio saved Marshrose from getting behind. In the 46th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norbert Garland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Norbert Garland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marshrose's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Garland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute Derrick Osborne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Hélio Arósio made a huge save. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Marshrose's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Hélio Arósio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Norbert Garland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Marshrose fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
