Gustaw Nowak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Nowak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Lannister, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaw Nowak having to interfere. Gustaw Nowak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tristan Lannister made the kick off in the second half. Mieszko Marosz hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's Gustaw Nowak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play. Mathijn Doctor kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jerry Cala hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustaw Nowak was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Gustaw Nowak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustaw Nowak quite easily take care of the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Meesters struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Gustaw Nowak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands.
