Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Vilhelm Lorden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. GAÚCHO FC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Denmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valério Netto took the corner. When Bjarne Kirkegaard fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Bjarne Kirkegaard a yellow card for diving instead. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Lorden in the 17th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Valério Netto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keld Paulsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tiran Centers hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, Denmark's Simon Bendtsen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raí Seco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Denmark reached it. Vilhelm Lorden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Valério Netto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilhelm Lorden in the 27th minute. Crişan Fenomeno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Keld Paulsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Crişan Fenomeno slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. Keld Paulsen was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Crişan Fenomeno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Crişan Fenomeno really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Lars Steen's late challenge caught a GAÚCHO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars Steen helped the player get up and apologised. GAÚCHO FC's Adilson Coelho was substituted for Tiran Centers. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Crişan Fenomeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. GAÚCHO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Crişan Fenomeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Nygaard to make the kick off. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Lorden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 minutes of play, GAÚCHO FC's Vilhelm Lorden made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the game, Adilson Coelho threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Mikkel Wulff quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bjarne Kirkegaard got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, GAÚCHO FC's Vilhelm Lorden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keld Paulsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Vilhelm Lorden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GAÚCHO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 65th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. Crişan Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by GAÚCHO FC's Vilhelm Lorden. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Lorden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Vilhelm Lorden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Crişan Fenomeno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Keld Paulsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Lars Steen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Lorden in the 95th minute of the match. GAÚCHO FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
