The corner led Palestine's Sixto Luix to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilson Amorim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bedrettin Özguven received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Bedrettin Özguven slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erhun Bilek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Erhun Bilek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Palestine's Erhun Bilek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 29th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Bedrettin Özguven sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Bedrettin Özguven fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Wilson Amorim. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Palestine's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. In the 34th minute, Fabricio Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erhun Bilek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erhun Bilek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Caetano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Bedrettin Özguven made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Eser İşcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Barreto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Erhun Bilek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Palestine made a substitution. Tahsin Savtuna replaced Eser İşcan. Palestine's Karl-Åke Svanberg was substituted for Anísio Matorin. Rodolfo Miranda made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Caetano Moreira. If Enis Behiç Cangun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolomeu Dias in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erhun Bilek saved Palestine from getting behind. Palestine's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
