Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with the kick off. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 6th minute of the match. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 10th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenko Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 21st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 25th minute of play. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roy Makaay scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 32nd minute of the match. Roy Makaay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belgium's Lenny Clocheret managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nicolai Otamendi in the 47 minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roy Makaay made a kick off. Nicolai Otamendi made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dino Manfredi. 57 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Nenko Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nenko Reza made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Yves Dervaux sent off a good shot on target. Nenko Reza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 66th minute. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Makaay's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Makaay in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. 81 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nenko Reza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Nenko Reza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sander Dermaut in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 92nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nenko Reza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Villaverde Celeste Clube were victorious despite being under pressure from Belgium for much of the match.
