Wilfredo León came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnout Reekers could save by the left post. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szymon Labus in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fryderyk Huk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Szymon Labus hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaas Jan van der Meer in the 19th minute of the match. Fryderyk Huk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Jan van der Meer came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play forced White Star Troopers's goalkeeper Fryderyk Huk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, White Star Troopers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Labus to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Lars Meesters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Fryderyk Huk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Fryderyk Huk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot.
