In the 3rdth minute of the game Major Barna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puerto de Sagunto CF's Gong Yong Nan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gong Yong Nan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Puerto de Sagunto CF booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hegedus Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richmond Van Glabeeke in the 13th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Balazs Lajos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gong Yong Nan was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Yong Nan having to interfere. Gong Yong Nan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gong Yong Nan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco José Millán. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richmond Van Glabeeke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 84th minute. Antal Valentin made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Puerto de Sagunto CF's Gong Yong Nan managed to reach the ball for a save.
