Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Garaona Camino. Puerto de Sagunto CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Garaona Camino came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 12th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Puerto de Sagunto CF's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garaona Camino came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Garaona Camino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the Puerto de Sagunto CF defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Garaona Camino. The Puerto de Sagunto CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garaona Camino should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Puerto de Sagunto CF's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garaona Camino came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Puerto de Sagunto CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekaitz Jorquera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Puerto de Sagunto CF getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nevada Uria hit a great ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garaona Camino. Garaona Camino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 33 minutes into the match, Puerto de Sagunto CF's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Garaona Camino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 35th minute of play forced Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper Garaona Camino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nevada Uria kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garaona Camino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Garaona Camino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the match, Puerto de Sagunto CF's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Garaona Camino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wim Wilmes in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garaona Camino saved Puerto de Sagunto CF from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telesforo De Paula to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Garaona Camino. Garaona Camino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 54th minute, Lars Meesters fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Garaona Camino, passed just outside the right post. Joachim Zaplana kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Tito Marrero got a free kick in the 67th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Garaona Camino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. 73 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Garaona Camino. Gijsbert ter Kruimer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Garaona Camino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With splendid footwork Wim Wilmes arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-11 by the left pole in the game's 77th minute. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Garaona Camino came out and tried to block the shot, but David Eikelkamp slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 80th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 87thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Garaona Camino would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Wim Wilmes put it in 0-13 from a short distance just to the right of Garaona Camino. In the 93rd minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Garaona Camino. Garaona Camino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-14. After 95 minutes, Tito Marrero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puerto de Sagunto CF and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Puerto de Sagunto CF throughout the match.
