Vecdi Yurday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 24th minute of play. Alexei Perju hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexei Perju, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdi Yurday having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 47th minute of play forced GÜMELİSPOR's goalkeeper Vecdi Yurday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ferid Yalap came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ferid Yalap fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GÜMELİSPOR's protests and gave Ferid Yalap a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes GÜMELİSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Ferid Yalap. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdi Yurday having to interfere. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vecdi Yurday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selçuk Durcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GÜMELİSPOR throughout the match.
