An unexpectedly hard shot by Román Riquelme in the 23rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Román Riquelme tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Román Riquelme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rodolfo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Felipe Barreto hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Román Riquelme in the 39th minute. In the 39th match minute, Al-Femur FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Chuse to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Ted van Zijp got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 45 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Graciano Coutinho. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. Fabricio Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Ted van Zijp sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Portugal's Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move. But to his dismay, Viriato Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Viriato Moura received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jesus Pepillo came out and tried to block the shot, but Viriato Moura slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 63rd minute. When Román Riquelme came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Al-Femur FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Román Riquelme couldn't finish the play. Al-Femur FC's Nicolás Tagliafico was substituted for Ted van Zijp. Jesus Pepillo was a little too slow when Bartolomeu Dias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. The supporters of Al-Femur FC booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joaquin Ponc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Al-Femur FC got a freekick which was hit by Felix Marino. In the 86th minute, Felix Marino made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 91st minute, Román Riquelme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Al-Femur FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Bruno Bastos hit a great ball. The Portugal players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Al-Femur FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
