Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) FC Inter Sibiu's Eusebiu Tuleiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FC Inter Sibiu booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play, FC Inter Sibiu's Mircea Lipan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Inter Sibiu booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pompiliu Cordescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Cordescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Frank Melis sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th match minute, FC Inter Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Lipan to maneuver through the defense. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 19th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Melis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Tuleiu in the 25th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Cordescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 40th minute Frank Melis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 44th minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eusebiu Tuleiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. The Germany fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Germany's Frank Sachs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Melis in the 58th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Hrib in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Cordescu came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mircea Lipan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Bitang in the 68th minute of play. Frank Melis took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save FC Inter Sibiu from getting a goal against them. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Cordescu in the 82nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Filip Fikus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Inter Sibiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Fikus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Tuleiu in the 86th minute of play. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Melis went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Petre Mitică got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Eusebiu Tuleiu made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1.
