Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Osvaldo Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dong Zheng Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 10th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Osvaldo Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ma Lang Liang in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that EDI MZB's Osvaldo Neto managed to reach the ball for a save. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tao Li Zhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

EDI MZB made a substitution. Rogério Maia replaced Teofil Pisarcik. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Mandrak came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Mandrak in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Ma Lang Liang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Mandrak in the 58th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Osvaldo Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Hortêncio Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Neto made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Hortêncio Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Mandrak in the 80th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Neto made a huge save. Hortêncio Mandrak hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
