Henning Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 19th minute of the match. Mats McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Wyoming Cowboys getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Leif Jespersson hit a great ball. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Berglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edwin McNamara was the one to do the kick off. Lanny Lilly's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Mats McNamara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Wyoming Cowboys's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Berglund came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wyoming Cowboys had played much better football throughout.
