The audience thought a goal was coming when Anfilogino Contaldi got free with Fodor Daniel in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anfilogino Contaldi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fodor Daniel came out and tried to block the shot, but Anfilogino Contaldi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 10th minute. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodor Daniel was a little too slow when Anfilogino Contaldi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 2-1. Béla Hudák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Béla Hudák quite easily take care of the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Carlos Alberto Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 42nd minute of play forced Sakálok's goalkeeper Béla Hudák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sakálok's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Béla Hudák came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Albert Hupach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Béla Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Sakálok's Gustavo Henrique got a free kick in the 54th minute. Béla Hudák made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 59th minute. Béla Hudák was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Major Barna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Major Barna really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Antal Valentin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Béla Hudák. That made the score 2-3 after 67 minutes of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Alberto Torres during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sakálok fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Sakálok's Béla Hudák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sakálok from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sakálok's Péter Fitos got a free kick in the 86th minute. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Béla Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sakálok's Caspar Motter got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sakálok throughout the match.
