NFH Family United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sajeev Mathews in the 39th minute. When Sean Soon came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the NFH Family United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Soon couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Soon in the 45th minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Sergiu Rădescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Victor Iordănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sergiu Rădescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Chai, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Armada's Sergiu Rădescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Armada from getting a goal against them. After 83 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Marian Panaitescu. After 84 played minutes NFH Family United got a freekick which was hit by Noh Yang. Marian Panaitescu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match was over NFH Family United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Armada throughout the match.
