In the 4th minute Claudinei Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Ahlroht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birger Engström charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birger Engström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 11 minutes into the game, Gino de Lima lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Sven-Olof Ahlroht. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when José Vítor Duarte sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Vítor Duarte got free with Sven-Olof Ahlroht in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Izaltina FAD's Claudinei Palmeira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Christiano Tavares struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Sven-Olof Ahlroht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izaltina FAD. In the 32nd minute, Bernardinho de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Bror Skoog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Palmeira in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Izaltina FAD booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Collin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute Claudinei Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Ahlroht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Ahlroht having to interfere. Sven-Olof Ahlroht didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bror Skoog to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, AIF's Birger Engström got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Gino de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino de Lima couldn't finish the play. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Palmeira in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, José Vítor Duarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Olof Ahlroht. AIF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Sven-Olof Ahlroht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Palmeira in the 62nd minute of the match. AIF's Sven-Olof Ahlroht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Duarte in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Rui Moreira hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Palmeira in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Olof Ahlroht prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, Gino de Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Sven-Olof Ahlroht was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81stth minute of the game Claudinei Palmeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIF's Sven-Olof Ahlroht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven-Olof Ahlroht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino de Lima in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the AIF defense, Claudinei Palmeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven-Olof Ahlroht. The AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Olof Ahlroht should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the game, Stefan Collin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Dráusio Oliveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Claudinei Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Izaltina FAD fully deserved thier win.
