Gara Chan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moritz Christe in the 2nd minute of the match. Firdauz Choy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Nölting having to interfere. NFH Family United's Clive Dryburgh got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Moritz Christe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Henry Nölting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Firdauz Choy in the 16th minute of play. Clive Dryburgh took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Nölting. Henry Nölting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Christe in the 24th minute of play forced NFH Family United's goalkeeper Gara Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Nölting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Soon in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when NFH Family United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamir Ching didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Moritz Christe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academica Pulheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moritz Christe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, NFH Family United's Rudy Tioe got a free kick in the 30th minute. Clive Dryburgh charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clive Dryburgh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 37 minutes into the game, Meinolf Rebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academica Pulheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NFH Family United the free kick. Meinolf Rebe hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, NFH Family United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by SK Sum to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Clive Dryburgh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Henry Nölting was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Pinkus Mack in the 54th minute of play forced NFH Family United's goalkeeper Gara Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hamir Ching fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NFH Family United's protests and gave Hamir Ching a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes NFH Family United got a freekick which was hit by Hamir Ching. In the 56th match minute, NFH Family United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamir Ching to maneuver through the defense. NFH Family United's Gara Chan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achmed Bani in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute Moritz Christe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gara Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gara Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Stober, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gara Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Stober in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Sean Soon notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Academica Pulheim's Henry Nölting. Henry Nölting was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Edgar Gomminginger replaced Meinolf Rebe. Gara Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Stober, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Gara Chan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achmed Bani in the 76th minute of the match. Achmed Bani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gara Chan having to interfere. In the 80th minute Conny Stober shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gara Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Bert Brandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th match minute, NFH Family United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sajeev Mathews to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute of the match Moritz Christe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gara Chan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Steven Au hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes NFH Family United got a freekick which was hit by Hamir Ching. NFH Family United played a much better game than Academica Pulheim and deserved their victory. The Academica Pulheim players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
