Marco Cantona started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when Les Tigres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Estevez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonardo Tipi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 8 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Tipi came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzo Maradona having to interfere. Serafino Pestaña kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Marco Cantona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonzo Maradona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Cantona, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Gonzo Maradona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Cantona in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vikingos FC defense, Leonardo Tipi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastián Sosa. The Vikingos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastián Sosa should have stopped the shot. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Les Tigres from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute, Marco Cantona made a precise shot to the right of Gonzo Maradona. Les Tigres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Lopes got free with Gonzo Maradona in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Vikingos FC's Marek Torm quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Grzegorz Sokolski, made in the 70th minute of the game. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer-Asaf Güneş in the 75th minute of play. Edvard Võsandi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Sebastián Sosa made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Võsandi came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vikingos FC's Marcelo Perico was substituted for Roque Vito. Vikingos FC's Luciano Lleir was substituted for Cássio Lopes. In the 95th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grzegorz Sokolski to maneuver through the defense. Sebastián Sosa came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Tigres's Ömer-Asaf Güneş. But to his dismay, Ömer-Asaf Güneş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Les Tigres supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Les Tigres would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
