An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Villa in the 17th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Gonzo Maradona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Tipi came free, but Cornelio Villegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Les Tigres were awarded a corner. Severino Estevez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Les Tigres's Severino Estevez to fire away a dangerous shot which Cornelio Villegas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Les Tigres's Leonardo Tipi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Villegas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cavaliers FC's zone, Leonardo Tipi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Villegas came out of the goal and Leonardo Tipi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornelio Villegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Tipi in the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gonzo Maradona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner. Ambrosio Iratxo went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cavaliers FC's corner Efrain Villegas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gonzo Maradona quite easily take care of the ball. If Leonardo Tipi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Villegas's late challenge caught a Les Tigres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Villegas helped the player get up and apologised. Les Tigres's Edvard Võsandi was substituted for Sermet Erva. In the 49th match minute, Cavaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Villegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th minute, Ömer-Asaf Güneş left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Les Tigres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ömer-Asaf Güneş to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Severo Tohias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavaliers FC and the Les Tigres players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cavaliers FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Severo Tohias hit a great ball. After 60 played minutes, Les Tigres's Severino Estevez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Les Tigres reached it. The corner ended in Luboš Štencl almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cavaliers FC's Cornelio Villegas did a great save. When Les Tigres's Luboš Štencl in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cavaliers FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cornelio Villegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gonzo Maradona, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Iratxo in the 90th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Gonzo Maradona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzo Maradona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Villa in the 91st minute of play. Ambrosio Iratxo scored 2-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonzo Maradona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gonzo Maradona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Sandalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
