The corner went over the outstretched arms of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalie and right to Arsenio Manuelo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 20th minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sebastián Sosa. Sebastián Sosa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Marco Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marco Cantona might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicasio Abad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Cantona ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicasio Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Cantona in the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastián Sosa. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 33rd minute, Peter Blomkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After some careless play in the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ defense, Marco Cantona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicasio Abad. Sebastián Sosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pietro Salles in the 68th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pietro Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute Pietro Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Erramu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pietro Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 91 minutes into the game, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Pietro Salles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastián Sosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Pietro Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Sosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
