An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Martins in the 10th minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Filiberto Nofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Alcântara in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filiberto Nofre saved Villa Mitre City from getting behind. After 33 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Severino Berbiz. 34 minutes into the match, Dário Martins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filiberto Nofre. Villa Mitre City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dário Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ronaldo Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Nofre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Villa Mitre City's Filiberto Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Cláudio Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice moves Ildefonso Gonchan could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Tomé Montenegro however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Ferreira Lopes MZC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dário Martins to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Filiberto Nofre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Alcântara. 52 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filiberto Nofre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ronaldo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Filiberto Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Ranko Perna kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filiberto Nofre. Filiberto Nofre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Filiberto Nofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Alcântara came free, but Filiberto Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Elpidio Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Mitre City's protests and gave Elpidio Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute of the match Ronaldo Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filiberto Nofre skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ferreira Lopes MZC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
