Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szymon Wachna in the 16th minute of play. When Guaberto Boniel fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kanalla F.C's protests and gave Guaberto Boniel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Kanalla F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sydney Carioca hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Kanalla F.C's Szymon Wachna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 minutes, Jânio Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the Kanalla F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. 45 minutes into the game, one of Barrenta SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edgar Trigo had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Hao Quan Kuan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
