In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Hugo Araya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ren Jie Fan in the 12th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Hugo Araya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Barco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the match, Ren Jie Fan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hugo Araya saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dieguinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Mare in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Ren Jie Fan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hugo Araya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Jon-Ander Wallffiguer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dieguinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Mare in the 26th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Concetto Mare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Zorros del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Simón Iturbe. 29 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Ren Jie Fan came free, but Hugo Araya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Mare in the 30th minute of play forced GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Dieguinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ren Jie Fan took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Hugo Araya to make any attempt to save it. Dieguinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Mare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Zorros del Desierto from getting a goal against them. If Concetto Mare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute Concetto Mare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Ren Jie Fan came free, but Hugo Araya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ren Jie Fan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hugo Araya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chiquito Escalante to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simón Iturbe to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Araya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Hugo Araya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ren Jie Fan in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ren Jie Fan in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Araya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Araya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Couto in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Ruperto Enol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro Barco hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Barco to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute of the match Billy Backman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Araya showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Ancelotti came free, but Hugo Araya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Hugo Araya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute of the match Luiz Fabiano Duarte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Araya skillfully saved the ball. In the 80th minute Carl Ancelotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Chiquito Escalante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simón Iturbe's late challenge caught a GeRaÇãO-83's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simón Iturbe helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Simón Iturbe got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 89 minutes, Ren Jie Fan made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Chiquito Escalante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Dieguinho Paraíba made a huge save. GeRaÇãO-83's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
