Edgar Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Baladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Cornelio Cerilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Blackened got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Vistruario. After 14 played minutes Blackened got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Martxelin. In the 14th minute of the match Sydney Carioca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Cerilo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvio Iratzeder got free with Edgar Trigo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thomás Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Goyo in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Genaro Goyo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar Trigo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cornelio Cerilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 28 minutes Blackened's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sydney Carioca who took care of the corner kick. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Blackened's goalkeeper Cornelio Cerilo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute Genaro Goyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Blackened's Mariano Gonchan got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Blackened's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Carioca came free, but Cornelio Cerilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Goyo in the 43rd minute of play. Elvio Iratzeder's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgar Trigo firmly grabbed it by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fábio Lima to make the kick off. Edgar Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Baladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Blackened booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Genaro Goyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blackened's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Goyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgar Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Baladi in the 65th minute of the match. When Mariano Gonchan fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blackened's protests and gave Mariano Gonchan a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Blackened got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Gonchan. In the 75th minute, Jânio Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blackened's Cornelio Cerilo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Blackened from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Iratzeder in the 82nd minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Baladi came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Genaro Goyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Danilo Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Blackened had won after a very even match.
