When Ren Jie Fan came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the GeRaÇãO-83 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ren Jie Fan couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Ren Jie Fan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filiberto Nofre. Villa Mitre City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ren Jie Fan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With his leg Filiberto Nofre managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when GeRaÇãO-83's Carl Ancelotti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Villa Mitre City defense, Ren Jie Fan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filiberto Nofre. The Villa Mitre City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filiberto Nofre should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GeRaÇãO-83 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
