Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Sachs took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Maksimir getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Adam Dodaj hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Maksimir's Trpimir Smilčić got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Germany were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Maksimir's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. Frank Sachs made a great header on Germany's corner, it was just that Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 10thth minute of the game Danijel Petrlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th match minute, Maksimir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrijan Grbović to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Frano Letina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maksimir and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Danijel Petrlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Frank Sachs took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boleslaw Jaktorowo. Boleslaw Jaktorowo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 28th minute, Danijel Petrlin made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Boleslaw Jaktorowo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boleslaw Jaktorowo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Maksimir defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boleslaw Jaktorowo. The Maksimir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boleslaw Jaktorowo should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danijel Petrlin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danijel Petrlin in the 56th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Danijel Petrlin came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danijel Petrlin's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Danijel Petrlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danijel Petrlin ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danijel Petrlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Danijel Petrlin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danijel Petrlin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Maksimir made a substitution. Maksim Delić replaced Marin Kuharić. Maksimir's Gradimir Antonić was substituted for Miodrag Rozga. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Hrste in the 79th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. The audience was convinced that Danijel Petrlin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The Maksimir fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Maksimir had won after a very even match.
