Teo Koninckx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Niels Cockx sent off a good shot on target. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teo Koninckx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Frank Sachs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teo Koninckx was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 36th minute, Diederick Raemakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Elssen in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Frank Sachs made a precise shot to the right of Teo Koninckx. Decathlon Anderlecht's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Teo Koninckx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 55th minute. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Decathlon Anderlecht's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Sachs was slow to take the kick. During this time Germany's players had a chance to rest. In the 58th play minute Frank Sachs came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teo Koninckx. 0-4. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Koninckx having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Anderlecht's Bill Peers got a free kick in the 64th minute. Rudi Cools kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Teo Koninckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. A well placed Frank Sachs short distance shot in the 73rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Anderlecht's Thys Valckx got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 minutes, Frank Sachs made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Decathlon Anderlecht's Teo Koninckx tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Decathlon Anderlecht fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Teo Koninckx, was totally fooled by Germany's Frank Sachs, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 92 minutes into the game, Albin Holweck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teo Koninckx. Albin Holweck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. When the final whistle sounded Germany left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Decathlon Anderlecht.
