Match Report

Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0)
Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Vincent Van Gogh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipe Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Vincent Van Gogh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. The supporters of Germany booed when KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliusz Kowalski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vincent Van Gogh scored 3-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Vincent Van Gogh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Vincent Van Gogh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Van Gogh got free with Tommy Kahn in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Van Gogh came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Willy Stieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes of play, KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Vincent Van Gogh made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent Van Gogh to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Germany's Willy Stieler got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 58th minute, Vincent Van Gogh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 64th minute of play forced KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Filipe Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Bartlomiej Gotfryd quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Linus Schwerner, made in the 66th minute of the game. A collision led to KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Paolo Cucao hit a great ball. Filipe Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 77th minute. Paolo Cucao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. Remigiusz Galagan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Edgar Winnicki made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. A sloppy throw-in by Linus Schwerner in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Bartlomiej Gotfryd. 94 minutes into the match, Paolo Cucao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Cucao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
