Carlos Goyeneta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gencay Bolat, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Gencay Bolat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaviotas FC's Carlos Goyeneta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Geronimo Berenguer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dalmacio Dubardo. Real Academia Serengetti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geronimo Berenguer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 16th minute of the match Real Academia Serengetti got a corner. Gaviotas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dario Nazario ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Real Academia Serengetti's corner Dario Nazario fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Goyeneta quite easily take care of the ball. Carlos Goyeneta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gencay Bolat in the 20th minute of the match. Real Academia Serengetti's Dalmacio Dubardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Berenguer in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Gencay Bolat notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Gaviotas FC's Carlos Goyeneta. Carlos Goyeneta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gencay Bolat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Goyeneta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Fabiano Di Vincenzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Gencay Bolat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Academia Serengetti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Gencay Bolat scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Goyeneta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gencay Bolat in the 47th minute of play forced Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Goyeneta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gencay Bolat was the one to do the kick off. Dalmacio Dubardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taco Huizinga in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Goyeneta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Geronimo Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Nazario hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Real Academia Serengetti's Dalmacio Dubardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Berenguer in the 56th minute of play. Gaviotas FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Real Academia Serengetti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Inocencio Patxi took the corner. When Gaviotas FC's Fabiano Di Vincenzo in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Academia Serengetti's goalie prevented a goal. Gaviotas FC's Clemente Claude was substituted for Geronimo Berenguer. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Academia Serengetti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Inocencio Patxi was slow to take the kick. During this time Gaviotas FC's players had a chance to rest. Gaviotas FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Gencay Bolat scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Goyeneta, making the score, 1-4. Real Academia Serengetti's Dalmacio Dubardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Claude in the 70th minute of play. Isidro Incendio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Dalmacio Dubardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Di Vincenzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Claude scored 2-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmacio Dubardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Miguel Borja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Academia Serengetti's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Borja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Goyeneta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Real Academia Serengetti's Miguel Borja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Goyeneta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Di Vincenzo in the 90th minute of play forced Real Academia Serengetti's goalkeeper Dalmacio Dubardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmacio Dubardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Di Vincenzo went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Real Academia Serengetti eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
