After the first half Drafi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Di Vincenzo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Drafi got a corner. Gaviotas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Boleslaw Kojder ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlos Goyeneta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Botasso in the 54th minute. Manolis Ntouvaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Di Vincenzo in the 61st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Soulis Felegakis took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Carlos Goyeneta to make any attempt to save it. Chatziioannou Stavrakoss short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Carlos Goyeneta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 96 minutes into the match, Drafi's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Patxi came free, but Manolis Ntouvaris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Drafi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Drafi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
