The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. POPULAR F.C's Léo Gonçalves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcus Deckbergh in the 3 minute of the game. 4 minutes into the game, POPULAR F.C's Victorio Pabla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Ekgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Victorio Pabla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Ekgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Skogås FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilson Cordeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time POPULAR F.C's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Pabla in the 10th minute of play forced Skogås FF's goalkeeper Tony Ekgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Ekgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Pabla's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Pabla in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Ekgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sílvio Luís Pires hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tony Ekgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Pabla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes in the game Harry Bure did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Edvin Dahlberg. Skogås FF's Tony Ekgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Pabla in the 31st minute of play. After the first half POPULAR F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the game, Marcus Deckbergh threw the ball into play from the sideline. POPULAR F.C's Stefaan Valkeneers quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 52 minutes of play, POPULAR F.C's Victorio Pabla made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Ekgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the game, POPULAR F.C's Victorio Pabla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Ekgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skogås FF's goalkeeper Tony Ekgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, POPULAR F.C's Victorio Pabla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Ekgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tony Ekgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Pabla in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Pabla in the 66th minute of play forced Skogås FF's goalkeeper Tony Ekgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Skogås FF's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Pabla came free, but Tony Ekgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Pabla in the 70th minute of play forced Skogås FF's goalkeeper Tony Ekgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Ekgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Pabla in the 72nd minute of the match. POPULAR F.C made a substitution. Maicon de Godoi replaced Léo Gonçalves. After 79 minutes, Harry Bure mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skogås FF and the POPULAR F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harry Bure kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 87 minutes Skogås FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilson Cordeiro who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on POPULAR F.C's corner Váldson Tande fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tony Ekgren quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Skogås FF's zone, Victorio Pabla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Ekgren came out of the goal and Victorio Pabla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tony Ekgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Pabla in the 91st minute of play. The throw-in from Harry Bure in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by POPULAR F.C's Maicon de Godoi.
