Váldson Tande hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clarke Brooks got free with Tony Ekgren in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas Apelquist was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Victorio Pabla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POPULAR F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Tony Ekgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Pabla's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 82nd minute Gilson Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Ekgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skogås FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilson Cordeiro ran over to the corner to take the kick.
