The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Durval Liberato showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matías Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Ekgren having to interfere. A collision led to Leça da Palmeira F.C getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Pedro Regalado hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Leça da Palmeira F.C's Carlos Magalhães got a free kick in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Edvin Dahlberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Durval Liberato, 1-0. The Leça da Palmeira F.C fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Leça da Palmeira F.C's Zeferino Ramos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leça da Palmeira F.C's Durval Liberato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Apelquist in the 31st minute of play. Durval Liberato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvin Dahlberg in the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Andreas Apelquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Liberato was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Andreas Apelquist made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Leça da Palmeira F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Regalado to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Karl-Erik Fernkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1.
