The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper Eraldo Bulla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Eraldo Bulla in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fox 武松 in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eraldo Bulla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eraldo Bulla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th minute of play. With a little luck, As Melfi 1929's Eraldo Bulla got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, As Melfi 1929's Stelian Popeangă made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eraldo Bulla came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. As Melfi 1929's Eraldo Bulla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 88th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Bulla having to interfere. In the 91st minute Fox 武松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Fox 武松 notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th minute Stelian Popeangă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than As Melfi 1929 throughout the match.
