The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gunnilse IS's Jan-Ove Wennerqvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sandro Galishoff in the 5 minute of the game. After 10 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Leonhard Maier. Austria's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Filip Burman 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Pär Ahlström struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunnilse IS. Sandro Galishoff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gottfrid Kinnman having to make a save. Gottfrid Kinnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Nalder, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Pär Ahlström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Auer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Pär Ahlström scored 3-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Auer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Sandro Galishoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Filip Burman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th match minute, Gunnilse IS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Apelquist to maneuver through the defense. Filip Burman charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Burman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filip Burman kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gunnilse IS's goalkeeper Gottfrid Kinnman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Emil Seidler kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Otto Sjögren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gunnilse IS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Sjögren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Filip Burman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunnilse IS's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Burman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Auer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Ove Wennerqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Schneider kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Pär Ahlström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Auer having to interfere. If Sandro Galishoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 87 minutes, Tomas Gunnarsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gunnilse IS and the Austria players grew even worse after the yellow card. 90 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Burman came free, but Fabio Auer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pär Ahlström in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pär Ahlström in the 93rd minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gunnilse IS had played much better football throughout.
