The supporters of QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willy Stieler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Vilela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Diamantino Vilela did an outstanding performance 56 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-0 to the right of an irritated Tommy Kahn in the goal. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. Willy Stieler kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Bernardo Simões struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.. The throw-in from Willy Stieler in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Joaquim Bomba. In the 78th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense. After 86 minutes QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frank Sachs who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ulrich Stein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kristopher Johnson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If José Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute José Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
