Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Osasun Palomino made the kick off and thus started the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gavin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Bastos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osasun Palomino in the 21st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Osasun Palomino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Tiago Russo got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Osasun Palomino. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Rodolfo Miranda with Caetano Moreira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Daniel Gavin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 46th minute of play. Raul Caetano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After 49 played minutes, Petro Atlético's Eric Staalhøj shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilson Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petro Atlético reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Edmund Maziarski in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. Daniel Gavin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Petro Atlético's Nuno Mendes was substituted for Osasun Palomino. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Joks in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match Petro Atlético got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After 61 played minutes Petro Atlético got a freekick which was hit by Magno Bastos. 68 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Szczepan Joks came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Graciano Coutinho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edmund Maziarski, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Daniel Gavin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipinho Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Mendes in the 81st minute of play. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gavin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Felipinho Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Gavin. Petro Atlético's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipinho Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After 92 played minutes Petro Atlético got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Maziarski. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Petro Atlético.
