The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Kattvik kings's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Alvar Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Şenel Zeval reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 3-1. 39 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson. Alvar Arvidsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes Kattvik kings's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Kees Mooiweer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 47th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvar Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Alvar Arvidsson made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Kattvik kings's Damian Dobrea got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When Jan Wennerberg came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Kattvik kings fans jumped to their feet. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvar Arvidsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenel Zeval, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
